You Won't Just See the Balkans.You'll Understand Them.

I had such a beautiful experience taking a cooking class with Almedin and his wonderful family. Dula and Eda were amazing teachers, and I really enjoyed learning how to prepare burek and klepe with them. We cooked together and then sat down to share what we had prepared, along with other delicious Bosnian comfort food, enjoying dinner all together. What I will take with me most is the warmth and hospitality of the whole afternoon. They welcomed me into their lovely, cozy home and shared food and stories. I left with a very full stomach, but even more so with a very warm heart. On a side note, Almedin is incredibly knowledgeable, and I have no doubt that his guided tours are just as special. I couldn’t recommend this experience more. If you want to add something genuinely personal and memorable to your time in Sarajevo, this is definitely a must do ❤️

Outstanding all day tour from Sarajevo. It was the best day seeing sites in Travnik and Jajce. We experienced true Bosnian coffee and food as well as seeing absolutely beautiful waterfalls and water mills. Our guide made this tour very personal. We highly recommend this tour for a tour to experience Bosnia. Thank you ever so much.

Almedin was the most wonderful tour guide. He may not live in the places we visited but he navigated them as if he grew up there. His contacts were able to get us good deals on private boat rides and city tours with University Professors. He would be a great guide for any and all people. He even fought for us when a taxi tried to over-charge us for a cab ride. His passion for history, culture, and people made my family trip to the Balkans all the better.

Had an amazing experience with out tour guide Almedin Memovic. As a local he was really able to show us the complexity of the war, and the difficulties that the local population had to cope with. Through anecdotes and personal stories he was able to bring across information in an entertaining and informative way. I can definetly recommend booking your tour here :)

Our group of seven just finished a private Balkan tour with Almedin, and I can honestly say he was one of the biggest reasons this trip was such a success. His knowledge of Balkan history was outstanding. He didn’t just tell us what we were looking at, he connected the history of Yugoslavia, the Ottoman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, and even ancient Greek influence to the architecture, culture, food, and people of each country we visited. Every drive and walking tour turned into a fascinating history lesson. Beyond his knowledge, Almedin genuinely cares about his guests. When one person in our group had a minor moped accident, he immediately accompanied her to the hospital, stayed with her, translated everything, and made sure she was okay before returning to the group. That level of care speaks volumes about his character. Throughout the trip, he went above and beyond, helping translate conversations, arranging restaurant reservations, recommending fantastic local spots, and always being flexible to our group’s needs. He also wasn’t afraid to stand up for what was right. We even saw him step in when a taxi driver attempted to overcharge members of our group. That kind of integrity gave us a lot of confidence throughout the trip. He also has an incredible personality. He’s funny, personable, and has stories for days. He has a way of making everyone feel included and intentionally engages with the group instead of simply reciting facts. The itinerary itself is fast-paced, but that’s the nature of the tour we chose, not a reflection of Almedin. Everything was well organized, and the private transportation he arranged was comfortable and reliable. I would recommend Almedin without hesitation to anyone visiting the Balkans, whether you’re traveling as a family, with friends, or you’re simply someone who wants to truly understand the history and culture of the region rather than just see the sights. He is passionate about what he does, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about giving his guests the best experience possible. Thank you, Almedin, for making this a trip we’ll never forget!

This was a really fun tour to take on our first night in Sarajevo, that happened to be New Year's Eve. Almedin Memovic ("Tallest Tour Guide") is a lot of fun, he knows very well the story of the shooting which started World War I. He also knows good places to hang out if you need a rest. He showed us the main sites in the Old City and told stories with passion, emphasizing the positive relationship between the Christian, Muslim and Jewish communities.
